Hi everyone, let me start by introducing myself. I am a 35 year old Dutch guy that has been woring in the IT industry for over 7 years now. My background is in Information Management and Business Informatics. The business side of IT to be exact. I am not a hardcore technical guy but I have always had a fasination for the technique behind computers, operating systems, networks etc.
For the last two years I have been focussing on application management. Managing an application that is used by 500+ employees and was considered the CORE application of the company I worked for.
Right now I am in the transition to a new job since I have all had a fasination for the field of information security but never really took the step to enter the field.
At the moment I am studying for the Comptia security+ exam. This is an entry-level security certificated that is accepted all over the world. In the next couple of weeks I will regularly write posts on my experiences and some of the sources that I use in my preparation towards this exam.
